Job Description

Society Essentials Ordering | The beginning

At the time when there was a lockdown in 2020 and there was a sudden shortage of
manpower to support home deliveries, SEO started home deliveries deploying the software
team to collect, sort, and deliver fresh fruits from the farmers who could cater. The team
started off in a week’s time and grew from single location delivery to more than 200 locations
now.
Fresh fruits are perishable and each fruit has a story of its own. Each fruit has its own ripening
cycle, taste, size, and that matters to all of us. Fruits are rich in nutrients and allow you to add
a higher portion of healthy food mix to your diet.
Fresh fruits also have a limited shelf life and need minimal handling and shorter cycle times. It
was important to put a short collation and shipment model which allowed recently harvested
fruits to reach the customer directly. This has also allowed us to work in lower inventory
models and improve them in every cycle.
We further look at optimizing transport which is another leg to the sustainability effort
optimizing the number of trips and we believe that is the long term way to go. Do look at a
planned approach that makes a difference and yet gets the best through society essentials.

Inside sale job summary
Our growing retail business needs a motivated Sales Representative to greet customers, help
them find what they need, and upsell new products. We’re looking for a professional who
can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge. The successful candidate will be provided
full guidance on the expectations, processes, and goals. On average, we connect with
5000 customers each day, so the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment is a must.

Responsibilities and duties
• Sales Planning

  • o Greet and assist customers as they request new products
    o Understand customer product groups
    o Understand the Current product line and the shelf life cycle
    o Delivery scheduling of the products
    o Work on target-based approach and make efforts to increase sales

• Customer Interaction

  • o Add more customer groups
    o Take order and ensure the ordering system is up to date
    o Check the fulfillment of the order
    o Track payments and ensure all payments are collected
    o Collect feedback from the customers
    o Provide weekly inputs to the company to increase sales
    o Suggest applicable and relevant upsells to help customers walk out the door
    with everything they need

Sales Reporting

  • o Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales quotas
    o Learn how products work and how to troubleshoot issues with customers
    o Prepare and submit weekly sales reports to management
    o Assist other team members with transactions when necessary

Qualification and skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Good English conversational & writing skills
• Good understanding of the use of MS Office and Google Workspace
• Fair understanding of eCommerce sites, Social media tools
• 1-2+ years’ direct or inside sales experience
• Ability to in simple English or local language
• Willingness to work with multiple customer groups
• Respectful to colleagues, vendors & customers
